Yongin-si
Korean towns and cities always sem to be moving and active and I had been wondering where the are the quiet places for relaxation and enjoying the sunshine? As it happens just around the corner from the Lee Design Hotel is a nice city park with a small lake and many spots that on a Spring Day in the sunshine were being used by the local population …. Oh and there were plenty of Cherry Blossom trees too!
Suwon Fortress
Suwon Fortress is vast and has an interesting history! It is also very popular on a warm Spring Sunday afternoon, as a few of the photos below show, with everyone out enjoying the sun, flying kites, and walking the walls looking for Cherry Blossom. HS and I were in the company of Lee, who until recently worked with us at HGL Dynamics South Korea and who lives in Suwon City, he was our guide for a couple of hours….and we fed him Chicken and Beer (well Pepsi as he was driving). I should have brought a tripod with me on this trip, but as I didn’t, all images are handheld.
